Parcafe at the Dorchester

My morning coffee is something I simply cannot do without. The aroma of a freshly brewed cup that warms you and wakes you up and gets you ready for the day ahead is not a luxury, for me it’s a necessity.

The perfect coffee

To truly relax and indulge in my coffee, I firstly need the sprog to remain asleep for the duration of my coffee (A feat harder than it sounds as he has a coffee sixth sense!) and secondly for someone to make it for me.

The latter is at least easier to come by, for a price. And if you find yourself in the Park Lane area, there’s a new player on the scene so you can indulge even more!

Parcafe is a tiny, but perfectly formed little cafe, just around the corner from the Dorchester’s main entrance on Park Lane. As expected by something bearing the Dorchester name, it’s immaculately set out and exudes an aura of calm.

I love that stunning yellow La Marzocco machine, it takes up centre stage and with all the splashes of yellow dotted around the shop, it manages to feel modern and comfortable in one small little space.

Although a croissant is more breakfast food, the cake selection is really hard to resist and so I settle on a Oreo cupcake to go along with my coffee and settle in for my treat.

The Oreo cupcake is perfectly gooey, just enough icing to go with the cake but not so much that it overpowers the cakeyness.  As you would expect, the coffee is perfectly brewed and by a stroke of luck, the sprog manages to stay fast asleep during my jaunt!

I think I’ve found a new spot to take my morning coffee addiction to the next level!

Disclosure: I was a guest of the Dorchester, but as always, all opinions are my own.

    • I’ve already tried to see if I can get one for my house, but I’m not sure I really justify an industrial coffee machine.. Even if it is bright yellow 😀

    • Seriously that cupcake was amazing! Well worth a detour in that direction just to get one (I may already have done that more than once…)

What do you think?
