Goodbye 2013

This year, I munched my way through some seriously good offerings and added even more to my ‘must try’ list for 2014!  My bank balance & waistline despair… but for now, my pick of the best that 2013 had to offer me….

For the best times with your best girlfriends, go to Betty Blythe.  You wear fun hats, gloves, pearls AND there is tea & cake.

For Michelin star dining that won’t drain the bank balance, go to Medlar.   (And from the 2012 archives, Chapter One is still high on the fine dining list!)

For the best of English traditions, afternoon tea must be had at the Ritz.

For afternoon tea with a twist and a quirk , it’ll have to be a tie between Asia de Cuba and the desserty genius of the Oxo Tower.  (And another one from the archives & probably still my favourite tea experience – the Fan Museum in Greenwich)

For seafood gluttony when the sun shines, you must try a Crawfish broil at Bea’s.   It’s a crawvaganza!

For attempting to be on trend, albeit woefully late, Patty & Bun lived up to all expectations!

For a taste of Espana, the wonders of Pizarro.

I hope you’ve enjoyed reading this year as much as I’ve loved writing this little blog, I promise to go out a lot and bring you more reviews & tales of travels in 2014.

May the new year bring you all you hope for and more!
